Released: July 29, 2008
The idea behind the WWE Night of Champions PPV is that every single championship is on the line. The show took over the PPV which used to be known as Vengeance, and took place this year with some tremendous matches. It releases on DVD from WWE Home Video this past week.
The DVD release from WWE Home Video features the PPV from start to finish, featuring some high-quality matches.
WWE Night of Champions as a whole presented a solid effort from all performers, from the young guys and the veterans.
The matches included…
WWE Tag Team Championship Match – John Morrison & The Miz vs. Finlay and Hornswoggle
US Championship Match – Matt Hardy vs. Chavo Guerrero
ECW Championship Match – Kane vs. Big Show vs. Mark Henry
World Tag Team Championship Match – Hardcore Holly & Code Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase & ?
Women’s Championship Match – Mickie James vs. Katie Lea Burchill
World Heavyweight Championship Match – Batista vs. Edge
WWE Championship Match – Triple H vs. John Cena
There were some quality matches on the card, highlighted by a great match between John Cena and Triple H, as well as Matt Hardy vs. Chavo Guerrero.
Going beyond that, there are also some nice extras here, including the Jim Ross farewell address he gave on the June 30 edition of WWE Raw.
On top of the farewell address, you are also presented a post-match interview with the WWE champ Triple H.
The audio and video quality from WWE Home Video is once great stuff, as everything is presented with great vibrant colors, and amazing clarity.
The WWE Night of Champions DVD release from WWE Home Video is a great buy for wrestling fans. It can’t get much better than having every match be a title match. With some quality wrestling action and decent extras, this is a good buy!

hornswoggle (6-10) / next for the us title matt hardy vs chavo guerro in a very descent match hardy wins with a twist of fate really out of nowhere impressed by
this match good back and fourth action here (8-10) / next for the ic title y2j faced
