South Park The Cult Of Cartman
DVD Review
Paramount
Comedy Central
Released: October 7, 2008
As a South Park fan, I have to admit that my favorite episodes are those that feature the character Eric Cartman front and center. Apparently, Paramount and Comedy Central picked up on this, as they have released the best set of Cartman episodes on one release.
South Park The Cult of Cartman is a box set which is basically a greatest hits set of Cartman episodes.
Eric Cartman is the fat, ignorant kid on South Park, that always seems to make you laugh your tail off.
This DVD release features twelve of the best South Park episodes which focus on Cartman, and they are absolutely full of classic comedic content.
Some of the great episodes packed on here include Scott Tenorman Must Die, Le Petit Tourette, Ginger Kids, and others.
Some of the stuff here is really just fantastic stuff, making this a must buy for South Park fans.
The only downfall to this DVD release is the fact that the extras tacked on are a bit slim.
You get some pretty funny introductions from Cartman, but beyond that there are no extra commentaries or anything like that.
South Park The Cult Of Cartman is a great DVD release for those who already do not own all of the seasons of South Park. For South Park fans who want some Cartman goodness, this is definitely worth checking out.
Content: 8.5 Though there is plenty more Cartman episodes, the 12 included here are high-quality.
Video: 7.5 The video quality is very good, nice use of colors. A bit better than what you see on TV.
Audio: 7.5 The dialogue comes across clearly, nice sound effects in spots.
Extras: 0.0 Very disappointing.
Final Score: 7.6
