Alvin and the Chipmunks are back once again on the DVD format with a new release from Paramount Home Entertainment, Alvin and the Chipmunks – The Chipettes.

The Chipettes, for those of you who do not know, are three female chipmunk friends of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.

The three female chipmunks follow basically the same personalities as their male counterparts with Brittany, Jeanette, as well as Jane Eleanor.

The DVD release packs six episodes in total and features not only the Chipettes, but also Alvin and his friends as well.

The six episodes packed onto this DVD release are highly-entertaining and will definitely appeal to chipmunk fans.

These episodes from from the mid-1980s and are presented in full-screen format, in Dolby Digital.

-Sisters-The Greatest Show-Offs On Earth

Overall, though there are no extras, the six episodes featured here are highly-entertaining and will appeal to any chipmunk fan.  Definitelly recommended for fans of the classic cartoon.
