CES 2009 Brings Us New TVs That Do 3-D, Internet, And More

There were many new TVs shown at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, impressing anyone who got to check them out.

A perfect example is the evolution of internet-ready TVs.

New TVs from Vizio as well as LG Electronics will have the ability to hook up to the internet.

This will allow them to stream movies from Netflix, erasing the need for a set-top box or anything of that nature.

On top of that, Sony and Panasonic announced similar strategies, partnering with Amazon Unbox.

The evolution did not stop there though, as YouTube, Flickr, and other services may soon be able to be viewed right on-screen.

The other big and highly-noticable move is the switch to 3-D.

There is now a major effort to go to 3-D in the home, as Panasonic wants to get 3-D in the homes of all.

The company wants to work to make more 3-D content available, as the majority of TVs on the market already support the technology.

One thing coming out of CES 2009 is very clear, our TVs are evolving before our very eyes.
