Blockbuster Strikes Major Online Movie Deal With Sonic

Washington (dbTechno) – Blockbuster has managed to reach a major deal with Sonic Solutions to make movies available over the Internet on multiple devices.

As part of the deal, Sonic is going to make its CinemaNow content available to subscribers under the Blockbuster brand.

On top of that, all of the Blockbuster movies are going to be thrown in as well.

The two are going to work together to bring online movies not only to users of PCs, but to other devices as well.

These devices will include personal video recorders, Blu-ray players, portable media players, mobile phones, and other devices.

The idea is to be able to allow for movies to be downloaded by any broadband-enabled consumer electronics device.

They want to team up to develop means of users being able to get premium entertainment content on any device, at any time, anywhere.
