Cheech & Chong Still Smokin
DVD Review
Paramount Home Entertainment
Release Date: February 3, 2008
Paramount Home Entertainment is digging up some 80s hits with a new set of I Love The 80s releases. Among them is Cheech and Chong Still Smoking.
The film, which released back in 1983, and has the duo heading to none other than Amsterdam. Needless to say, I was not a fan of this comedy when it first released, and it has yet to win me over since.
There are definitely better Cheech and Chong films out there, as Still Smokin’ released when the two were not at their peak so to say.
The new release of the I Love The 80s edition is decent, but unfortunately has no extras, making this one worthwhile to only the most die-hard fans.
The only throw-in is a bonud CD with music from INXS, Erasure, The Bunnymen, and others.
Film: 4.0 The two are supposed to be funny, but it does not work here.
Video: 7.5 Average, nothing special.
Audio: 7.5 The audio is clear enough.
Extras: 1.0 The added bonus CD is the only real extra.
Final Score: 4.5
