Last year, SanDisk announced the launch of a media format, slotMusic.  This basically consisted of MicroSD cards which were loaded up with music albums.  Building on the momentum of that launch, SanDisk has come out with a brand new product in the form of the slotRadio Player.

The SanDisk slotRadio Player is a very unique product in that it is basically a tiny little MP3 player which has the ability to play these slotMusic albums, or any other music you may have on a MicroSD card.

The player is very tiny, coming it at roughly 2” by 2” in total, featuring a nice 1.5” OLED screen.

Other little features added into this $99.99 package include the MicroUSB charger, as well as a clip and built-in FM radio.

The real interesting selling point to this player is the fact that it comes with a MicroSD card that is loaded up with 1,000 hit Billboard songs.

These songs come from all types of music, and are broken up into various categories for you to enjoy.

The categories of music include Workout, Chillout, Alternative, R&B/Hip Hop, Rock, Contemporary, and Country.

There are some well-known artists on here, from Kenny Chesney, to Shakira, Kanye West, and others.

Basically each category is set up as a separate album on the player, so when you pick a category, the album begins, and you will scroll through songs just like you were scrolling through CDs.

This works very well, and considering that you get 1,000 quality Billboard songs and the player for under $100, this is a fantastic value.

Controlling the little player is simple, as you can scroll from left to right with two buttons, control the volume, and switch from FM to music with ease.

My only gripe I have with the player is the fact that you can’t scroll through the songs and create your own playlists.  Instead, you have to go from one song to another with the pre-made playlists.

Everything about the little player screams quality, as it is put together nicely, and features a very strong 13-hour battery life.

The other great thing is that you can also add in your own memory cards to play your own slotMusic tunes on here as well.

The SanDisk slotRadio Player is a fantastic idea and a great value at $99.99, as you get a very high-quality MP3 player, as well as some fantastic tunes to go along with it without any hassle.  If you have someone who may not be technologically-advanced enough to go online, download music, sync it to a player, etc, then this is your best bet!

Everything is right here in this package, the player, the music, and all of the value that comes along with it, well-worth the purchase!
