WWE Macho Madness The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection
DVD Review
WWE Home Video
Release: June 9, 2009
WWE Home Video is set to release a brand new DVD set which will highlight the career of one of the greats, the Macho Man Randy Savage, oooh yeah!
Macho Madness The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection is the latest 3-disc DVD release from WWE Home Video, which highlights the career of the superb in-ring performer and entertainer.
I was excited to see this set, due to the fact that for a period of time, there weren’t many who were much better than Mr. Savage was in and out of the ring.
You will see some classic matches here, 23 of them in total, as well as other moments such as his wedding with Elizabeth, and other interviews and such.
Matt Striker and Maria host here, running you through all of the various aspects of the DVD, matches, etc.
My biggest complaint is that the WWE did not go ahead with a full-blown documentary to tell the life story of the Mach Man, but what can you do.
As stated, WWE put some great matches on this, such as his match against Ted DiBiase at WrestleMania IV, and other big matches with Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, etc.
If you are a fan of the Macho Man Randy Savage, this is a DVD release that you surely are going to enjoy, because the combination of the matches and the extras with the interviews make this a blast to check out.
Content: 8.5 Some absolutely classic matches, well-worth watching.
Video: 8.0 Source material is dated, so expect some spotty things here.
Audio: 8.0 Audio gets the job done, not perfect though.
Extras: 8.5 Plenty to be had here with all of the interviews, matches, etc.
Final Score: 8.4
