Hackers Tweet Fake Death Message From Britney Spears’ Twitter Page

June 30, 2009

Contreary to popular belief, Britney Spears is very much alive and not dead
Boston (DbTechNo) - Contreary to popular belief, Britney Spears is very much alive and not dead.

Over the weekend, Spears’ Twitter page was hacked and a message was tweeted to her followers that she had died.

Similar tweets were made on the pages of Miley Cyrus, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Goldblum, and P. Diddy.

Staff noticed the hack job immediately and took steps to delete the false info and post assuring messages.

It is believed that the hackers found a loophole on Twitpic to gain access to the accounts.

The site says that they have taken steps to fix their volnerable loophole so that similar attacks can be prevented.
