WWE Judgment Day 2009
DVD Review
WWE Home Video
Released: June 2009
WWE Home Video has put out their release of the pay-per-view WWE Judgment Day 2009, coming off of the big Backlash show.
WWE Judgment Day 2009 was a big PPV for WWE as they had a lot of momentum heading into this show, which took place in Chicago back on May 17, 2009.
There were some quality matches on this card, with many of them living up to their expectations, which were high going into it.
Examples of these include Christian taking on Jack Swagger, who continues to develop nicely, as well as Edge taking on Jeff Hardy.
The highlight of the show for me though was the IC title match between Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho. These two are such fantastic workers, and it is great to see them go head-to-head just as they did so many times back in their WCW days.
Ric Flair also made an appearance at the show in the Randy Orton/Batista match, while Cena and the Big Show do their best to try and impress yet again.
Overall this was an average pay-per-view with some high points, and some low points. Extras on the release include Batista meeting up with an old friend, good stuff.
Worth picking up for the Rey Mysterio / Jericho match in itself in my honest opinion.
Content: 8.4 Average from an overall perspective, but some very high points.
Video: 8.0
Audio: 8.0
Extras: 7.0 One little extra thrown in.
Final Score: 8.2
