Is Oprah Leaving CBS for Cable?
November 6, 2009

Boston (DbTechNo) - Will she stay, or will she go is the question being asked about Oprah Winfrey and her plans to move her television show away from CBS.
Reports surfaced earlier this week that the talkshow icon would be moving to cable in 2011, reports that have not yet been denied.
Winfrey is about to embark on the 24th season of her popular talkshow, and is an icon looked upon by millions of Americans for guidance in various aspects of life ranging from diet, to what book to read.
Her show is the most watched talkshow in America, reaching approximately 7 million viewers daily.
The cable network that could possibly be home to Oprah’s show is jointly owned by her and Discovery, meaning that if this does happen, she would see a vast increase in earnings.
CBS has been home to the Oprah Winfrey show since 2000, when it acquired King World.
