Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs
DVD Review
Paramount Home Entertainment
Released: October 2009
Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs has hit the DVD format courtesy of Paramount Home Entertainment, and the release is impressive indeed.
The Ice Age movie franchise has been wildly successful, and this latest movie release showcases why this is so.
Ice Age started in 2002 and followed a series of animals such as Manny the Mammoth, Diego the Sabertooth Tiger, and others.
The latest release is Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and it opens up with Manny being nervous about fatherhood.
What happens next though is that they end up on another adventure where they find a hidden world of dinosaurs.
This film is a lot of fun and provides a lot of the quality entertainment that made the first two films so very successful.
While it does feel like it is starting to get a bit old, it is still well-worth checking out for fans.
The release comes with some quality extras here as well, starting out with some fun stuff such as a documentary about Scrat, as well as interactive stuff.
The interactive stuff involves Scrat giving news reports, showing kids how to draw him, and more.
There are even DVD-Rom games that can be accessed once you pop it in you rcomputer.
Overall, this release is very strong as the audio and video quality are near-perfect for a DVD release, and the extras certainly will appeal to young and older audiences. Well-worth picking up.
