Van Morrison and Gigi Lee Welcome Baby Boy

Boston (DbTechNo) - It is being reported that 64 year old singer Van Morrison is the proud new dad of a baby boy.

The mother of the little guy is actually Morrison’s manager Gigi Lee, and reports indicate that mom and son are doing well.

George Ivan Morrison III came into the world yesterday at an undisclosed hospital.

Morrison took to his web site to post a statement after the birth of his son.

“Gigi (Lee) and Van Morrison are proud to announce the birth of their first born son, George Ivan Morrison III,” he wrote.

“Little Van, born Dec 28, 2009 — the spitting image of his daddy. He is a dual citizen of Northern Ireland/United Kingdom and the United States,” he added.

Van Morrison was born August 31 1945, and has had a steller musical career.

He has been awarded 6 Grammies, and has a place in the covetted ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.’
