Britney Spears Trails U2 in Billboard Top Earners List

Billboard magazine have just released a list of the top earning musicians for the year of 2009 and U2 has landed in first place.

The figures are acquired from adding up touring, record sales and other royalty expenses and show just how rich big name artists actually are.

For example, top earning U2 made an estimated 109 million dollars last year, more than double of The Boss, Bruce Springsteen who came in second with 58 million bucks.

A lot of young celebrity artists also made the top 40 list, including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and the Jonas Brothers.

Last year, it was pop diva Madonna who topped the Billboard money list.
