Everybody’s Fine was one of those movies that simply got lost in the shuffle when it made it to theaters. Thankfully, this little gem is being reborn on DVD starring Robert De Niro and company.

Robert De Niro plays the role of a father who is unfortunately living alone, and is in extremely poor health.

Going against the advice of his doctor, he travels to visit his 3 kids all across the United States. surprising them each time.

When he visits them though, things don’t go exactly as planned, and he starts to question his role as a parent in their lives.

The who way in which this drama plays out is very touching, and as always Robert De Niro does a fantastic job of really allowing the audience to get in touch with his character.

Fans of dramas and De Niro in general are in for a real treat as this one is not one to miss out on now that it is on DVD.

The audio and video quality here are not exactly perfection, as the video transfer on DVD does leave a bit to be desired, as black levels and some of the colors could have been a bit more crisp.

On the audio front, all is good, but there really is not a lot of ambient noises for that real theater atmosphere going on here.

As for the extras, there isn’t much included, just some deleted & extended scenes, as well as a short making-of featurette.

These two get the job done to add to the release, and to be honest I didn’t expect much more beyond these considering the limited love this movie received during its box office run.

Everybody’s Fine is well-worth picking up on DVD as it is a great drama with a great cast headed up by the man himself, Robert De Niro. This one is certainly worth a rental at the very least, a touching film.
