Ferrah Fawcett Left Out of Oscars Memorium, Michael Jackson Added

Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur were not included in last night’s Oscars memorial film highlights, a fact that has many people upset.

The annual In Memoriam tribute honors those film faces to have passed away during the last year, but neither Farrah Fawcett or Bea Arthur were part of the memorium.

Even Michael Jackson made the cut, despite not acting in many movies and being known as the King of Pop, not the king of the film industry.

Movie critic Roger Ebert took to Twitter to voice his concern regarding the situation.

“No Farrah in the memorial,” he tweeted. “They have a lot of ‘splaining to do.”

Some actors featured in last nights slides were the late Patrick Swayze, David Carradine, Dom DeLuise and Army Archerd among others.

“It gets close to agonizing by the end,” Bruce Davis, executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, told the AP. “You are dropping people who the public knows. It’s just not comfortable.”
