Fess Parker, AKA Davy Crockett Dies at 85

Boston (DbTechNo) – It is being reported that Fess Parker, star of Davy Crockett has died at the age of 85.

According to his family, he died peacefully from natural causes at his home in Santa Ynez.

During the 50′s, Davy Crockett was one of the biggest shows going, and Parker played the role with as much gusto as one can be played.

During the 60′s he starred as Daniel Boone on the television show, and later in life also took up grape growing.

“I left the business after 22 years,” Parker told The Associated Press in 2001. “It was time to leave Hollywood. I came along at a time when I’m starting out with Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Sterling Hayden and Gregory Peck.”

His death comes on the day of his wife, Marcella’s 84th birthday.
