24 rapping up after eight seasons on Fox

Fox has just announced that 24, their popular action series starring Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer will be rapping up at the end of the current season.

The show is in its 8th season and is one of the shows actually worth watching on the Fox network, receiving a total of 68 Emmy nominations.

In the show, Bauer, AKA Sutherland plays the role of an anti-terrorist agent and goes to great lengths, some of which illegal lengths to thwart terrorist attacks on the United States.

“This has been the role of a lifetime, and I will never be able to fully express my appreciation to everyone who made it possible,” Sutherland said. “But when all is said and done, it is the loyal worldwide fan base that made it possible for me to have the experience of playing the role of Jack Bauer, and for that I am eternally grateful.”

In all, when the season is over 194 episodes will have aired.
