Larry King Retiring After 25 Years

One of the most famous interviewers of all time, Larry King has decided to retire from his nightly television program.

King, has been a fixture on CNN for the last 25 years and has interviewed anybody and everybody who is deemed important but has decided that in the fall he will step down.

He made the announcement via Twitter, saying: “It’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders.”

King says that he will still do a little work for CNN from time to time, and began thinking of retiring when his 25th anniversary passed earlier this year.

“I’m tired of the nightly grind,” he said. “I do want to do other things but I want to stay at CNN in some way … There’s a case of great mixed emotions.”

King is actually in the Guinness Book of World Records for hosting the longest running television program on the same network in the same time slot.
