Super Friends Season One Volume Two

Super Friends Season One Volume Two

DVD Review
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment
Released: July 2010

Super Friends has received yet another release on DVD with season one, volume two to showcase new episodes from the classic series.

This release is a part of the DC Comics Classic Collection and features some of the most well-known superheroes around.

The heroes included in these 8 episodes are Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman, Robin, and others.

Audio and video quality here is decent but considering the age of the source material, you really cannot expect too much. The audio is pretty dialogue-heavy but there is a respectable audio presentation here. The video features nice crisp colors that have certainly been touched up since its initial presentation.

There are 8 episodes included here from the first season. The episodes include.

1. The Balloon People
2. The Fantastic FRERPs
3. The Ultra Beam
4. The Menace of the White Dwarf
5. The Mysterious Moles
6. Gulliver’s Gigantic Goof
7. The Planet-Splitter
8. The Watermen

There is only one special feature included here and that is a trivia challengs for fans to try and get through, fun, but it loses its entertainment pretty quick.

For fans, Super Friends Season One Volume Two is a very solid release, but it is disappointing to see season one get split up into two releases, diminishing value immensely. Overall though, there are 8 quality episodes here for fans to check out.
