Comedian Greg Giraldo Dead Following Drug Overdose

It is being reported that comedian Greg Giraldo has died from a suspected drug overdose.

The 44 year old funnyman died yesterday in a New Brunswick, New Jersey hospital after being taken there last weekend following an overdose of prescription medication.

Fellow comedian Jim Norton tweeted: “Greg Giraldo passed away today. This is the last photo of us together, taken June 28 at Noam’s wedding. RIP buddy.”

Greg had reportedly collapsed in his hotel room on Saturday night and was discovered when he failed to show up for his gig.

Before getting into the comedy field, Greg was a lawyer, graduating from Columbia University and attending Harvard Law School.

Greg was a regular guest on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” “Late Night With Conan O’Brian” and “The Howard Stern Show.”
