Plastic Surgery Regrets of the Stars, The Grass Is Not Always Greener

Several Hollywood celebrities have come forward recently to say they regretted having plastic surgery. Stars such as Denise Richards, Dana Delany, Heidi Montag, Nicole Kidman, Kenny Rodgers and Lisa Rinna have each said they regretted the surgery and botox they have endured over the years.

Dana Delany spoke about a botched botox injection that caused a hematoma, which left her eye drooping as the nerve ending died. Denise Richards spoke about her breast enhancement that went wrong. Even Kenny Rodgers admitted to having undergone plastic surgery procedures, dubbing himself the “king of plastic surgery”.

Jamie Lee Curtis equated undergoing plastic surgery as an addiction that she had to overcome.

In a 2004 interview Curtis revealed her experience with plastic surgery

“I attempted various types of plastic surgery, minutely but enough to stave off this encroaching middle-aged body. And every time I did, something went wrong. I felt misshapen, just not natural any more. It was a big stimulator of my drug abuse.’ She then reached a stage at which, she confesses, ‘I’d anaesthetise myself on a daily basis’. She says she kicked her habit nine years ago after becoming concerned about the toll her addiction was taking on her daughter.

Heidi Montag confessed to undergoing ten procedures in a single day as part of her addiction to plastic surgery.

“I’m beyond addicted,” she told People in a cover story that hits newsstands today. Montag told the magazine she has been contemplating the surgeries for three years, but kept her family in the dark about her total transformation plans. Her goal, she says, was to be “the best of me.”

Each celebrity who spoke about the procedures they had undergone and why they regretted them, talked of complications or results that were not the expected product. Bruising, infection and misshaping were the common complaints. Others sited addiction to painkiller drugs are the reason they spoke out about plastic surgery in Hollywood.

Other stars who have spoke out included Kim Kardashian, Tori Spelling, Courtney Love, Jane Fonda, Mickey Rourke, Tara Reid, and Sharon Stone.
