The jury is in today to hear the lawsuit brought by Garth Brooks against nonprofit Oklahoma hospital organization, Integris Rural Health Inc.
Brooks alleges to have donated $500,000 to them in exchange for naming a building after his mother.
For their part, the hospital claims that there was no agreement to name the building after Brooks’ mother. Instead, they say they were working with the pop star to find an appropriate way to pay tribute to her.
Brooks further alleges that after the group decided not to name the ward after his mother, they also refused to return the money.
Brooks, whose mother died in 1999, is the top selling solo music artist of all time.
