Demi Moore hospitalized after inhaling whip-its full of nitrous oxide, report says
An audio file of the Monday night Demi Moore 911 call has been released and is making its way around the internet as concerned and curious fans try to make out what’s going on with the apparently troubled star.
During the 8 minute call several of Moore’s friends take turns talking with the 911 dispatcher.
There is some confusion in the beginning of the tape as to whether an ambulance is on its way or not, and the callers are scolded several times for not answering questions, interrupting, and not paying attention to instructions.
A female caller tells the dispatcher that Moore is only semi-conscious and having convulsions after smoking something “similar to incense” and that she has been having “issues” lately.
“Right now [she] is she awake,” the friend said, according to the tape, which was posted today on TMZ.com.
The dispatcher asks if this was an intentional overdose or reaction, which the caller assures him it was not.
Towards the end of the tape when the paramedics are arriving a male caller tells the dispatcher that Moore is doing better, breathing normally, sitting up, and talking.
TMZ reported that Moore was doing “whip-its” — a type of nitrous oxide inhalant — before she was rushed to the hospital.
