Ghostbusters 3 In The Works

A third installment of the Ghostbusters series is slated to start filming later in 2012. Ghostbusters 3 will be co-produced by Dan Akyroyd, who also stars in the film. Bill Murray has yet to tie himself to the role, and Akyroyd says he would be replaced in the film if he chooses not to return as Peter Venkman. Rick Moranis is ready to work on the film if the script is right. Ernie Hudson is ready to reprise his role of Winston Zeddemore, and Harold Ramis as Egon Spengler.

The film will be directed by Ivan Reitman, who directed the previous Ghostbusters films. Rumored to be part of the film are Sigourney Weaver, Eliza Dushku, and Anna Faris.
