America’s Got Talent (AGT) kicked off the 2012 season with Howard Stern officially onboard as a judge, alongside veterans Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. Nick Cannon returned as the talent competition’s host.
Of all the acts vying to win the hearts of the judges and American viewers, one stood out from the pack. Granny G, an 80 year old rapping emcee stole the show while rhyming about family values and teen boys ruled by their raging sexual hormones. All three judges showed their approval for her style and positive messages by voting to advance her to the next level of the televised talent contest. AGT airs on NBC every Monday and Tuesday evening.
