Janet Jackson Engaged to Wed Billionaire
Singer Janet Jackson is already filling her 2013 calendar with spring plans to wed billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana.
According to the Huffington Post, Jackson accepted a gigantic engagement ring after the billionaire businessman proprosed to her recently, but she doesn’t wear the pricey bauble for fear of its getting lost and keeps it locked in a security vault.
A source tells UsMagazine.com, “(He) gave her a huge, expensive ring. She’s afraid it will get lost, so she keeps it locked up.”
The 37-year old Mana is a native of Quatar where the wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place and the occasion promises to be beyond opulent.
The wedding will reportedly cost “millions,” reveals a second Jackson insider. “He is flying in all of Janet’s friends and family on private jets.” (Quick refresher: The L.A.-based singer has seven siblings and more than 20 nieces and nephews.)
Adds the source, “He wants to get a top chef to create a custom menu.”
Unidentified sources say that Mana is already searching for a high-profile chef to create a customized menu for the wedding reception and has offered to transport all of Jackson’s most important relatives and friends to Quatar for the ceremony aboard luxurious private jets. The third time may be the charm for Jackson, who has said “I do” twice before, to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo.
Jackson is the only female member of the celebrated Jackson Family musical empire.
Jackson has been married twice before. She last split with Jermaine Dupri in 2009.
