Lindsay Lohan Sues Her Own Clothing Company
The lawsuit filed against the California based clothing manufacturer D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries alleges the company has failed to pay Lohan $900,000 in guaranteed earnings and a further 10 percent of all sales; the 26 year old actress claims her problems with the law make no difference to the clothing contract as it did not include a morals clause requiring good behavior on Lohan’s part.
Former child star Lohan launched her 6126 clothing line prior to her arrest and subsequent jailtime in 2010 as a high end range of leggings; the line is no longer sold in most U.S. stores, but remains popular in Asian markets. Lohan’s legal team claim the failure to pay the actress places D.N.A.M. in breach of copyright over its use of the 6126 trademark owned by the Mean Girls star.
