Tiger Woods Sends Lindsey Vonn His Private, No Big Deal
Pro golfer Tiger Woods came to the rescue of Olympic hopeful skier Lindsey Vonn earlier this week by sending his private plane to transport her home from Austria.
Vonn was injured during the world championship when she appeared to slip and land on the ground with her legs twisted up. Officials have reported the injury as being related to a cruciate ligament.
The story about the plane spread quickly through the press and social media, fueling existing rumors that the pair are romantically involved. Woods has said nothing regarding the rumors, but a statement from Vonn’s representatives said that she is fully focused on competition and would not be making any comment regarding her private life.
“They met through the ski community, because Tiger is an active skier,” a source close to Lindsey reveals. “Lindsey has been teaching Tiger’s kids Sam and Charlie how to ski.”
“Their busy schedules mean they don’t get a lot of time together, but they constantly talk on the phone,” a Tiger source tells Star. “And Tiger has made more of a commitment to Lindsey lately — he’s pulling out all the stops.”
Woods made headlines in recent years for his many affairs and contentious divorce from wife Elin Nordegren. Vonn recently finalized her divorce from husband Thomas Vonn, whom she met in Utah at age 16.
