Elton John’s Emmy Performance

Elton John is one of the most revered and well respected performers of our time. Whenever audiences get a change to watch him perform live, it is a treat. Tonight Elton John will be performing with country star Carrie Underwood. It is rumored that this performance will also be announced by actor Don Cheadle. Elton John is also releasing his first studio album in seven years. This performance will mark his second year in a row of performing at the Emmy Awards.

This year Elton John has decided to do a tribute to Liberace as his performance. It is great to have Elton John back after his fight with appendicitis this summer. This illness required him to have surgery and cancel a number of dates and appearances around the world. Luckily Elton John was cleared by doctors to perform at the Emmy Awards. Neil Patrick Harris will be doing the honors of hosting the Emmy Awards this year.

The HBO documentary, Behind the Candelabra, is a documentary about the life of Liberace. This documentary has gone up for 15 Emmy Awards. This is why Elton John’s tribute to Liberace is so fitting for this occasion.

Show host Neil Patrick Harris said of the planned tribute: “We have a performance by Elton John who has never performed at the Emmys before. He’s doing a number from his new album, which is amazing.

NPH added that he isn’t planning to show off at the Emmy Awards.

The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star, who is hosting the 65th annual awards ceremony in Los Angeles tonight for the second time, claims he doesn’t have any big surprises planned and just wants the event to run smoothly.

For his part, Elton John will be releasing his first album in seven years two days after this Emmy Awards performance. The new collection of songs is called “The Diving Board”. Elton John has sold over 250 million records to date and is one of the best-selling singers of all time.

The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on US channel CBS.
