Paul Walker Dies: Actor of ‘Fast & Furious’ Fame Dies

A car crash Saturday, November 30, at around 3:30 p.m. PST, 6:30 p.m. EST, in Santa Clarita took the life of 40-year-old Paul Walker whose star rose in recent years as the result of the the highly successful ‘Fast & Furious’ street racing action film series.

Walker was the passenger of a Porche GT driven by friend Roger Rodas, a professional racer. They were leaving a charity event when the car hit a telephone pole and burst into flames. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, both men were pronounced deceased at the site. Speed was a factor in the crash, but other factors are unknown at this time.

A statement on Paul Walker’s Facebook page reads:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW

The Paul Walker Death reports started on on TFW2005 forums:P

So I work in Santa Clarita at an automotive performance shop and a good customer just came from Paul’s shop, AE (Always Evolving) where they were having a car show. It seems Paul went for a ride in a guys Porsche and they ended up around a phone pole, the car burst onto flames and rumour has it Paul is dead. I hope he got it wrong but he insists it was Paul. I’m reluctant to post this being just hearsay, but the guy who informed us is a wealthy car enthusiast that just pulled up in his Maserati and nothing to gain from a lie, and has video on his phone of the burning car. If it does turn out to be true, damn… RIP Paul.P
According to TMZ, who say they have sources on the scene, Walker was giving rides in his new “Porsche GT” when the incident occurred. The fiery accident reportedly happened during one of those test spins.P

Walker’s co-star actor 46-year-old Vin Diesel told his fans online that he is “absolutely speechless” over the lost. He also called Walker his “Brother” and said that “Heaven has gained a new Angel.”

Paul William Walker IV was born in 1973 in Glendale, California. His acting career began as a child working in television commercials and he was well-known for his guest performances in several popular TV shows. Beyond the ‘Fast & Furious,’ his filmography includes “Varsity Blues” and new film “Hours.”
