Country singing star Carrie Underwood is so protective and loving of her pet rat terrier dogs, Ace and Penny, that she calls herself their mom. Husband Mike Fisher, who wed Underwood four years ago, even agreed to allow Ace to be part of the wedding party for their special day. He also says that when the two of them decide to become parents, their children will be well cared for even if Carrie only demonstrates half the love and concern she already shows to her rat terriers. In fact, Ace has become such an important part of Underwood’s life, that she calls him her blessing.
Underwood is so enamored of the frisky dog that was a part of her wedding party that she has even shared videos of Ace with her fans on social media websites. She recently tweeted about their feeding routine, when Underwood reports that Ace gives her what she characterizes as the “supper stare down”, a penetrating look given in her direction that starts around 4 o’clock every afternoon. But his begging to be fed immediately doesn’t necessarily make Underwood stop what she is busy doing, such as rehearsing, and she assures her tiny canine friend that it’s not yet suppertime and that he should stop bugging his mama.
Ace really gets excited when Underwood finally turns in his direction and asks that all important question, “Ace, you want supper?” That phrase alone is enough to get Underwood’s favorite pet rat terrier bounding off of the couch or wherever he has been sitting in order to race to his food bowl. Carrie’s pet rat terrier has almost become as big a celebrity as his singing mom. She has often posted pictures of him online showing him in a variety of costumes and outfits for Halloween.
