Utah Church Shooting: Man Shoots Father-In-Law During Church Service

According to FOX News, the incident took place roughly around 11:30 AM early on Sunday. An armed 35-year-old Charles Jennings burst into a Catholic Church, shooting a man in the back of the head.

Officials have noted that the victim is Jennings’ father-in-law. When the attacker entered initially, he was with his wife and also the daughter of John Evans, the victim.

Jennings promptly fled the scene in a pickup truck following the assault only later to be apprehended by the police.

“We don’t know the motive,” Ogden police Lt. Danielle Croyle told the Huff Post. “It is a domestic violence-related incident.”

Reverend Erik Richsteig of the Just Catholic Church congregation reported noticing previous threats Jennings had made to Evans. Still, his attack was abrupt and sudden, and according to police officials, he simply walked up to the victim and shot him without much warning. Presently Evans is in critical condition, but Dr. Barbara Kerwin of McDay-Dee Hospital in Ogden has indicated that the victim is due to recover shortly.

Parishioner Rebecca Ory Hernandez said the congregation was told by a priest that the suspect and his wife had been involved in domestic disputes.

Hernandez was sitting close to the victim when the shooting occurred, she said.

“The guy walked up to his father-in-law and shot him point blank in the head,” Hernandez told Ogden’s Standard-Examiner. “Then I ran over to the victim and pulled my scarf off and put it around his head.

“He was pretty calm. There was so much blood … People were in shock and some people were passing out. We have some military guys in our parish and they ran out after the guy,” she added.

Although the bullet wound was nearly fatal, it went through the victims ear and out of Evan’s cheek, just barely missing the victim’s brain. Doctors anticipate that he will surely survive and is already recuperating well.

A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital, and his mother could wind up facing charges after he was shot in the leg by an older friend who lives at their home.

The family has security cameras installed and they caught Rodriguez in the act of tracking boy before shooting him. To make matters worse, the mother was reluctant to take to boy to the hospital choosing instead to nurse him at home with tips from WebMD.

However, the popular medical website did not offer much by way of treating gunshot wounds. Finally, after as many as seven hours, she drove the boy to the hospital where he is said to be doing fine. Rodriguez was arrested and will face a charge of “child injury with intent to commit serious bodily injury”.

The boy’s mother also faces a charge of injury to her son by what is called “omission”.

A search of WebMD’s website shows that the search results do not even broach the subject of gunshot wounds. Rodriguez had been living with the family.

A mother was arrested and charged after she allegedly turned to WebMD.com, instead of seeking professional medical attention, when her 14-year-old son was shot by a friend playing with a gun, Santa Fe police said.

The Rottweiler is a medium to large size breed of domestic dog. The dogs were known as “Rottweil butchers’ dogs” (German: Rottweiler Metzgerhund) because they were used to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat and other products to market.

The boy was in the upper level of the residence and could not descend to the lower level out of fear of the Rottweiler. Neighbors heard the boy’s pleas for help and called police at around 12:30AM. Firefighters choose to avoid any confrontation with the canine and instead used a ladder to reach the upper-level of the home and bring the child down to safety.

The boy was subsequently placed in the care of other family members. As for the caregivers who were supposed to be caring for him, they have been arrested on charges of “child neglect”.

The people arrested were a 39-year-old male and a 73-year-old female. No word on why they left the boy alone. Rottweiler’s are known as attack dogs and are very muscular.

In recent years, there have been incidences of maulings by Rottweiler’s due to their powerful jaws.

The firefighters cannot be blamed for not wanting to confront such an animal if they didn’t have to.

Horschel is quickly gaining a reputation for his unusual eccentricities. Apparently a fast reader, he read through the entire Twilight series of books inside of a fortnight. It’s also said that Horschel believes in the Sasquatch or “Big Foot” legends along with UFOs. Does that mean he’s into conspiracies? It may be given that you can’t hardly separate a belief in UFOs without some belief that the government is colluding to hide their existence from the general public – Hello Roswell, NM and Area 51.

However, it was his squid patterned pants with flashy magenta that has drawn audience attention this time around. Apparently, Horschel is an extrovert who has no inhibition about making himself the center of attention.

Horschel finished four strokes behind Mickelson in the tournament. He won his first PGA this past April by a single stroke. At the time of his victory, he thrust his hand in the air and hopped around in delight over his winning stroke.

The Bugle Boy Jeans commercials that ran during the late 1980s have become so popular that they now receive thousands of views thanks to their appearance on YouTube and to the charms of a British model by the name of Annabel Schofield who appeared in them.

Born in Wales 50 years ago, Schofield is the daughter of entertainment producer John D. Schofield and the younger sister of Amanda Schofield. She entered the modeling business around 1985 when she first took the fashion world by storm appearing as the model in Versace ads.

During Schofield’s days as a top fashion model, she became one of the most requested models from the Take Two Agency in London.

Although her international modeling career on behalf of such well-known brands as Bugle Boy Jeans lasted through the early 1990s, Schofield continued on to have a successful career as both a producer and an author. Her book, The Cherry Alignment, is celebrated by many as an homage to the fashion, art and culture of the 1980s, presented as a serialized novel.

She is the founder of Belle Bene Productions and recently joined forces with photographer Scott Nathan in a project to record some of the world’s most beautiful scenery in Africa.

Caprice: surrogate will be baby’s aunty

It may be that the medical advancements which make surrogate motherhood a possibility create some unique family situations, but Caprice is grateful to the woman and wants to honor her for her sacrifice. It is said that the surrogate mother is anxious to remain in the life of the boy as well. So just who is this modern-day ‘Wu Chow’s Auntie’? That will remain a mystery for now.

The irony in all this is that Caprice conceived a child of her own after the surrogate mother began her own gestation period. That is life for you. Caprice and her partner, Ty Comfort, are said to be very pleased with the prospect of starting a family with two sons.

They’re busy discussing names and plan to remain in Notting Hill after the child births. For her part, Caprice has become baby hungry in deed. She freely admits that she would love to have seven additional children as long as her health allows it. No word on if partner Ty Comfort wants that large of a family.

Stephanie Courtney has worked steadily over the last decade, appearing in shows like ER, The Man Show, and Cavemen. She was also in Without a Trace and Mad Men. Transforming into the perky insurance expert is no small task for Courtney, who says she barely gets recognized in public. “They don’t use any tricks or anything,” Courtney says of Flo’s big hair. “That’s all [the stylist] teasing it and shaping it and spraying it. That’s like one hour in her chair. – Even as they plead for financial support, operators at many of the 50 worst charities have lied to donors about where their money goes, taken multiple salaries, secretly paid themselves consulting fees or arranged fund-raising contracts with friends. One cancer charity paid a company owned by the president’s son nearly $18 million over eight years to solicit funds. A medical charity paid its biggest research grant to its president’s own for-profit company.
– Some nonprofits are little more than fronts for fund-raising companies, which bankroll their startup costs, lock them into exclusive contracts at exorbitant rates and even drive the charities into debt. Florida-based Project Cure has raised more than $65 million since 1998, but every year has wound up owing its fundraiser more than what was raised. According to its latest financial filing, the nonprofit is $3 million in debt.
– To disguise the meager amount of money that reaches those in need, charities use accounting tricks and inflate the value of donated dollar-store cast-offs – snack cakes and air fresheners – that they give to dying cancer patients and homeless veterans.

A person should absolutely think twice before donating to any charity. Do research and find out how much of each donation goes to the people who need it. This will ensure that most of what a person gives will reach those who are sick, hungry, and otherwise in dire need of help.

Holm allegedly put meth in cookies

Man Spikes Cookies with Meth in Child Custody Fight

Des Moines, WA – Chad Holm has found that there are limits to the adage “All’s fair in love and war”.

The 37-year-old man and his ex-wife are both locked in a custody battle over their two sons ages 5 and 7. Both Holm and his ex-wife have a history of Meth abuse.

His wife tested positive for the drug just last year, but upon entering a voluntary drug counseling program, she was able to retain custody of the children. Apparently, this didn’t sit well with Chad Holm, who devised a plot to sabotage the custody of the boys and secure them for himself. Holm laced cookies with crystal meth and gave them to his sons to eat, reports the Daily News.

The idea was to get the boys to test positive for meth and have that unravel his ex-wife’s ability to win permanent custody of the boys.

The tin foil that contained the cookies and the icing was submitted for testing and lab tests showed the pink icing tested positive for methamphetamine.

Holm’s ex-wife told police the meth-laced cookies were an “effort to discredit her for an upcoming parenting plan hearing.”

The problem is that Holm himself is still abusing the drug and his ex-wife is apparently clean.

When the ex-wife found out that her sons tested positive for meth, she quickly retrieved the cookies her ex-husband had given the boys which they had discarded in the trash due to their displeasing taste. The cookies tested positive. However, due to lack of proof that Chad Holm laced the cookies, he hasn’t been arrested.

“We are not able to charge him with a crime for the meth in the frosting of the cookies because we cannot prove chain of custody of the meth in the cookies, who made the cookies and who, when, or where or how the meth got there,” a King County prosecutor said.

Mark Slater, Adult Film Stars Can Teach A Private School

Now, before anyone gets lurid fantasies about a former porn star giving impressionable minds an introduction to adult cinema, Slater has no such thing in mind.

Rather, Slater has taken on a pragmatic approach to pornography saying that it is both prevalent and distorts the meaning of true intimate relationships.

To that effect, if someone who had prior experience in the porn industry were to turn away from it and gain the credentials to teach sexual education from a healthy vantage point, Headmaster Slater would not be opposed to having that person teach the class. He went on to describe the higher purpose of The Leys as shepherding students in those things that will prepare them for life and family.

Mr Slater, 59, tells the Telegraph: “I wouldn’t rule it out simply because of what they have done in their life if I felt that person was going to put across good values and be a good influence.

“I don’t think you can escape porn given that it’s almost impossible to legislate against what goes on the internet.

“There are young people who have got easy access to all sorts of material which wasn’t accessible years ago.

He explained that it’s not about looking too closely at what a person has done in their past as much as it is what they are capable of doing in the present because of their past experiences.

“And I think what we have got to do is empower them with good judgment and make them understand that this kind of thing can be addictive, it can be damaging and a certain amount of willpower is necessary.”

He added: “As a school we see pastoral care as possibly the most important job we do.
“And under the heading pastoral care comes the need to prepare people for life, for their future, and an important part of that is their relationships.

“I think there is a potential that their ability to form fulfilling relationships could be damaged by easy access to pornography.”

Slater understands the addictive nature of pornography and if a well-chosen sex-ed teacher can steer pupils away from such dangers that is a good thing.
