Jumper kills 5-year-old Girl In Busan South Korea

A 5-year-old South Korean girl was killed when a man who jumped from his 11th floor apartment and landed on top of her, police said, according to reports Friday.

The horrific incident took place Wednesday in Busan, a port city in the southern part of the country.

Fox News reports:

A police official said the 39-year-old man died immediately after he jumped Wednesday from the 11th floor of the building in the southeastern port city of Busan. The girl died later from brain damage and broken bones.

The official who spoke Friday declined to be named because the case is still under investigation.

The official says it’s unclear why the man jumped. He says witnesses saw the man jumping but there was no suicide note.

South Korea has one of the highest suicide rates among economically advanced countries. Seoul-based Arirang News reported late last year, the percentage of South Koreans who take their own lives is 2.6 times higher than the average suicide rate among the countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, an association of wealthy, industrialized nations.

South Korea, which has a population of 49 million.

Not the first time a Pedestrian was killed by a suicide jumper

In 2009, a woman who committed suicide by jumping out of an eighth floor window killed a pedestrian who was walking along the street below, according to Spanish police.

The 45-year-old woman died instantly in the fall while the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries in hospital following the incident on Monday in the town of Viladecans, a suburb of Barcelona, a police spokesman said.

Another pedestrian who was with the 50-year-old man escaped unhurt.

Spanish media said the pedestrian was of Ukrainian origin, but the police spokesman described him as a Spanish national.

Smith herself is black from the West Indies and was dismissed from her teaching position in a New York City school after a student complained that she used the word “negro” directed to a student. Smith has not been able to find other work since losing her job back in March 2012. At age 65, employment is not easy to find for many people.

Smith has hired an attorney because she believes she was treated unfairly and that she never used the word in such a context. Bolstering her claim is that in Spanish the word “negro” is a color for black and that a black person is called “moreno”.

“They haven’t even accounted for how absurd it is for someone who’s black to be using a racial slur to a student,” Shaun Reid, Smith’s attorney, told the New York Post. “Talk about context! There’s a lot of things wrong here.

In all fairness though, the word “negro” can be used as a very sharp euphemism for a black person much as the N-word is used in English.

According to the Post, racism in schools is becoming an increasing problem:

The issue of racism surrounding the firing of other teachers has made headlines before. Last February, a Minneapolis teacher was put on paid leave after he was accused of discriminating against five black students in his class, according to WCCO. He was accused of making them sit in the back of the room because “it is easier for him to teach rich white folks than poor black people,” and telling them things like, “you will never amount to anything” and “you only have one parent.”

The following month a teacher was fired from a Washington, D.C., charter school for writing violent and racist math problems for students to solve, WUSA reported. One such problem involved a tiger catching African Americans and Native Americans, and cooking them in ovens.

A spokeswoman for the city Law Department said, “We have received the papers and will review them.”

Fox News: Punch Obama voters In The Face

Most recently, journalist James Rosen of Fox News became a Justice Department co-conspirator in their investigation covering a leak of sensitive documents due to an investigative report he had done on North Korea. Tantaros informed listeners of what life is like for any journalist that is willing to report on news the Obama administration finds unflattering.

She chronicled some of the conditions as being spied on such as through wiretaps, being stalked, and in the case of one Missouri radio host who discussed the IRS abuses: fired.

Tantaros described these conditions as similar to what was experienced in the Soviet Union and then asked viewers to do her a favor and punch Obama voters in the “kisser”.

“Let me tell you how people and journalists are being treated these days,” she said. “They are being stalked. They are being spied on. In Missouri, a news station fired an anchor who talked about the IRS shakedown. Yeah—fired. This is how corrupt the left is.”

She added, “This is what’s happening to our press. This is Obama’s America. It’s like the Soviet Union. He said he would change the country. He said it … and a lot of people voted for him. And if you see any of those people today, do me a favor and punch them in the face.”

Fox News President Roger Ailes has recently condemned the Obama administration’s targeting of James Rosen and publicly stated his support for the embattled journalist. In related news, the IRS has admitted to targeting conservative groups like the Tea Party for politically motivated harassment.

The two were caught sharing a meal at Hakkasan in London. Jaden Smith, in London to promote his new movie After Earth, looked fashionable as always in a long black jacket as he walked Gomez out of the restaurant. Gomez matched Smith in a sheer black dress and black coat.

Everyone is still unclear on the dating status of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, but in a recent reveal from US Weekly, Jaden Smith is currently in a relationship with Kim Kardashian’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner.

While the on-again, off-again relationship officially ended back in January, the tumultuous couple were seen making-out at the Billboard Music Awards in May. Selena Gomez’s friend, pop star Taylor Swift, was less than excited about the smooch. Taylor was caught on camera sticking her tongue out when she say the two with their lips locked.

Gomez and Bieber have reunited many times since their public parting in January. The future of the young famous couple appears to still be in the making.

Sheen Changes Name: Meet Carlos Estevez

Name Change In Store for Charlie Sheen

Although his given family name is Estevez, the actor born as Carlos Estevez adopted the stage name of Charlie Sheen years ago when he first entered the entertainment profession. Now Charlie Sheen has decided to revert back to calling himself by his birth name of Carlos Estevez.

Promotional announcements for an upcoming film in which Sheen is starring, “Machete Kills”, is carrying images of the forty-something actor with the name “Carlos Estevez.”

Sheen portrays an American president in the movie, set to premiere sometime in September. Rounding out the “Machete Kills” cast is actress Jessica Alba and actors Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Antonio Banderas. Some think the name change may be only a temporary whim on Sheen’s part to help promote the film.

Sheen’s father, award-winning actor Martin Sheen, was born with the name Ramon Antonio Gerardo Estevez. The elder Sheen said in an interview 10 years ago that he adopted the stage name “Martin Sheen” because he had trouble getting acting jobs with the Spanish name, but he never changed it legally, which means all four of Sheen’s children have Estevez as a last name. It’s something Sheen said he regrets.

Sheen said: “I started using Sheen, I thought I’d give it a try, and before I knew it, I started making a living with it and then it was too late. In fact, one of my great regrets is that I didn’t keep my name as it was given to me. I knew it bothered my dad.”

Although he has been professionally known as Martin Sheen for several decades, he allegedly has never taken steps to legally change his name from Estevez. He gave his son the name Carlos Irwin Estevez, who followed him into the acting profession as Charlie Sheen.

His brother Emilio, however, kept Estevez as his surname. Sheen’s return to his birth name may also be an attempt to distance himself from his troubled past.

The Lallys say that they thought the ducklings had originally wandered off when they couldn’t find them, only to discover that their cat let her maternal instincts kick in and started breastfeeding them. In most instances, cats and birds do not get along very well in the same quarters and in many instances, cats have been known to chase ducks and even devour them.

The case of the cat breastfeeding ducklings is not the first case of inter-species acceptance, however. There have been cases reported of mother dogs breastfeeding baby kittens as well as a mother sheep adopting a baby piglet who had lost his own mother.

Kendall Jenner Tweet Feud With Fellow Celeb Spawn

Jenner, tweeted “Just wish things could be easier sometimes mann,” on Tuesday night, which is what started the feud. “I’d rather be a scumbag than a f—ing idiot. Praise high IQs, good taste, and awareness about the state of the world,” Cobain then wrote in reply.

Cobain then continued to bash the reality star with several more tweets concerning her comment. Jenner replied in the nicest way she knew how “I am aware that i am very privileged and blessed, and im thankful for that everyday, i know there are greater problems in the world,” “So who are u to judge me?”

Since then, all of the tweets have been deleted by Cobain.

Initially, reports claimed the actor was left speechless after the episode but these conclusions have been disconfirmed by Curry’s agent in Los Angeles, Marcia Hurwitz. According to Hurwitz, Curry is “doing great” and “can speak and is recovering at this time in great humor.”

Curry reportedly lives by himself at his home in the Hollywood Hills. Prior to this incident, in 2011, he was to appear in a U.K. production of Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead, but could not due to asthma attacks and ongoing chest maladies.

Curry is known for his larger than life roles in such films as It, Clue, and Legend. However, he is probably best known as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. More recently his very recognizable voice can be found in cartoons such as Outback and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

UFO over historic barn

“I was at the Edgemoor property, in the middle of the day, to take pics of the barn to update the SHS barn logo. I was constantly looking up and around the area, including the sky’s background, so I can get it just right, and not at anytime did I see anything in the sky or heard a sound of an aircraft,” Henry told local ABC TV affiliate News 10.

It wasn’t until after the photo was taken that Henry noticed what what floating in the skies above. It was originally thought to be a spot on her camera lens which wouldn’t wipe off.

“It was clear and certainly not a bug,” she said.

She said that she had been trying to take photos of the barn for quite a while that afternoon and never noticed anything flying above.

She also added that there was no way it could have been a commercial aircraft of any sort as she would’ve noticed that sound immediately.

“I noticed a ‘speck’ on my LCD screen after I took the shot to check for clarity, and only realized it wasn’t a speck when I downloaded it on my computer.”

According to the Huff Post, the Edgemoor Barn — now a museum — just celebrated its 100th birthday. It was once part of a hospital facility and has developed a reputation for paranormal activity, including alleged ghost sightings.

“The barn sits under several flight paths,” said Janet Kwak in her on-air 10News report. “We called Gillespie Field and MCAS Miramar (Marine Corps Air Station), but neither could offer an explanation.”

“There is no way this was a commercial aircraft,” Henry said. “I would have heard it, especially as low as it seemed to be. Someone did mention perhaps it was a drone. However, I have not seen any drones that were round or oval, and lacking wings, rudders or propellers — even the drone that looks like a fly has wings.”

In another surprising chain of events, Henry said that immediately after she captured the now infamous photo, her camera stopped working.

Ellen Henry took a picture of the historic Edgemoor Barn in California without at first realizing what she caught on camera – a UFO.

Julianne Moore toes

Moore appears to look stunning, but one can only imagine the pain she was actually in. Her pinky toes were hanging out of the shoes completely, while the rest of them were barely fitting under the straps. Although her feet may have been in complete agony, she never had anything but a smile to show for the camera. However uncomfortable it may have been for her she was able to walk the entire length of the carpet without assistance from anyone.

Zap2It summed up the look perfect by saying “Please, Julianne. If the shoe fits, wear it. If it doesn’t, then have mercy on your toes and choose another pair.”
