SanDisk Sansa Clip 8GB
MP3 Player Review
Manufacturer: SanDisk
MSRP: $99.99
SanDisk has released a brand new Sansa Clip MP3 Player with a new capacity point of 8GB, which is pretty impressive for a player this size. So does this MP3 player have what it takes to stand up to the competition?
SanDisk has been doing a great job of putting out high-quality MP3 players, and they continue that tradition with the release of this new Sansa Clip with 8GB of memory capacity.
The first thing you are going to notice once you take a look at the Sansa Clip is that the device is extremely small, and can easily fit in your hand or clip onto your clothes.
The way in which the MP3 player is designed makes it a perfect companion for activity in the gym, jogging, and other types of exercise. This is the type of MP3 player that could easily be clipped on your clothes while you do work outside, and around the house as well.
The device also features a very impressive and bright OLED color screen, which means that you do not have to randomly scroll from one song to another waiting to hear what is going to play. Instead, you can scroll through your 8GB of music and choose what you want to hear.
In regards to audio formats, the device supports MP3, WMA, WAV, as well as Audible audio books, and also has a built-in microphone for voice recording, as well as a built-in FM tuner for FM radio.
The only feature that did not work up to par was the built-in FM tuner which had a hard time picking up reception in spots where it should not have been all that difficult.
The device comes with a set of earphones as well as a USB cable to load it up with music, and the sound quality that the tiny device pumps out is pretty startling, as the size of the device does not equal the big sound it can bring to your ears.
The other nice point about the Sansa Clip is definitely the price point, as you can get the 8GB player for just $99.99, meaning tons of music for a very low price.
In regards to controlling the player, you have a control pad below the screen that has a button as well. This allows you to scroll through all of the menus and options so that you can play tracks, pause, shuffle, etc.
The way in which the controls are set up make it easy for quick changes to be made, song selection, etc. Everything is laid out nicely and is very comfortable to navigate.
In regards to loading it up with music, this is very easy to do as well through Rhapsody, Napter, and other services that the device supports. We were able to load it up with tunes using Rhapsody with no problem at all.
Overall SanDisk has a winner here with the Sansa Clip 8GB as the device is priced to sell at $99.99 and packs some great sound quality and very impressive features. For under $100 you really can’t do much better than the Sansa Clip 8GB, it is the perfect MP3 player for those on-the-go as it is durable, easy-to-use, and is stacked with tons of useful features.
Final Score: 8.5 dbTechno Recommended!

what format are used as videos
????????????????????????????????
Wow - this looks really cool. It’s being sold for £40/$80 over in the UK, so maybe you should import it. And I think the main format for videos is MP4, but the Sansa Clip can’t play videos, unfortunately. (Not that I’m complaining - it’s a lovely piece of kit.)
this is the best mp3 player i’ve ever seen. I’ve had mine for about a year and it still works as well as the day i bought it. I am in the landscaping business and use it about everyday in the summer. I couldn’t ask for a better music player while i work
