Sony May Develop Gaming/Cellphone Combo Device

Boston (DbTechNo) - There are rumors floating around the web that suggest Sony to be preparing to begin developing a cellphone game gear hybrid system.

Sony is falling behind the times when compared to Apple and other electronic companies and are feeling the pressure to step up and compete.

Since the launch of their Walkman three years ago, the company has shyed away from portable music players, instead focusing more on electronics such as televisions and speaker systems.

Who has not played a game gear at some point? The little device is hand held, portable and very, very addicting.

The company is rumored to be preparing to begin developing a 2-in-1 gadget, featuring game gear and Sony Ericsson’s mobile phone.

Reports indicate that a project team will be set up in July to begin developing the devices.
