Viper Smart Start Replacing Car Keys for iPhone Users

Boston (DbTechNo) - It is being reported that security company Directed Electronics has developed a remote car starter for iPhone users.
The Viper Smart Start app is a downloadable application that will allow iPhone users with a data connection to control their car from wherever they are, thus replacing the key ring for a lot of iPhone users.
The application is free to download, and will allow for users to have total control over their cars from anywhere in the United States.
How often have you been late to show up for class or a meeting because you have been unable to find your keys? Thanks to the Viper Smart Start app, as long as you have your psmartphone in hand, all is good.
The system is going on sale at Best Buy, and comes with a receiver that is installed in the vehicle, which costs $500.

So if someone steals your car can a person shut them down? OnStar can now do that and this would be a great seller for those of us without OnStar. I would have to switch phones, my Black Berry doesn’t have WiFi.
