Konami Delays PS3 Killer App Metal Gear Solid 4

Seattle (dbTechno) - In news that is going to make Sony PS3 fans probably quite angry, Konami has confirmed that the PS3 exclusive killer app Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, has been delayed until Q2 2008.

Konami along with Hideo Kojima have been stating all along that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be seeing a worldwide release this winter. This left many to believe that the game would be out around the time of February 2008. Konami has stated though that the new release date was needed “in order to make further improvements to the quality of th egame and provide even greater enjoyment for more customers worldwide.”

The Q2 2008 release date for Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PS3 will likely have it releasing around the April 2008 timeframe unless anything else changes before then. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots from the legendary Hideo Kojima is the killer app for the PS3 and is the game which Sony hopes will help push the PS3 into the mainstream.

Konami has stated that they still plan to have a simultaneous worldwide release for Metal Gear Solid 4 in Q2 2008.
