Microsoft and BT Join For BT Vision on Xbox 360

Microsoft has announced a new partnership with a company called BT Group PLC.  The two companies are going to be working to bring the next-generation television service BT Vision to the Xbox 360 gaming consoleBoston (dbTechno) - Microsoft has announced a new partnership with a company called BT Group PLC. The two companies are going to be working to bring the next-generation television service BT Vision to the Xbox 360 gaming console.

BT broadband customers are going to be gaining some new features thanks to this announcement as they are going to be able to receive high-definition gaming, movies, as well as television right through an Xbox 360 console.

BT Vision customers currently who already own an Xbox 360 will be able to access BT Vision from the Xbox 360 itself or a set-top-box.

Existing and future Xbox 360 console owners will have the option to take advantage of the new BT Vision.

BT Vision is powered by Microsoft Mediaroom Internet Protocol TV platform and will launch the new set-top-box device and service by the middle of 2008, further adding to the multimedia capabilities of the Xbox 360.
