Nintendo Wii and DS Own Top Ten List In Japan

Nintendo has kicked off the year 2008 with a bang as it has been announced, for the week ending January 6, all of the top ten sales spots for games are made up of Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii games in JapanTokyo (dbTechno) - Nintendo has kicked off the year 2008 with a bang as it has been announced, for the week ending January 6, all of the top ten sales spots for games are made up of Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii games in Japan.

Nintendo is on a roll to say the least as it managed to do great going through the holiday shopping season, and now occupies all top ten spots for game sales in Japan, split between games on the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii.

Among the top 30 for game sales in Japan, Nintendo occupies 25 out of those top 30 spots, which is an amazing feat. The Xbox 360 and PS3 do not crack the top 30 list with any game at all.

There are only three Sony PS2 games and two Sony PSP games in the top 30 for the entire week.

The non-Nintendo games include Monster Hunter 2 for the PSP which was in 14th place.

The top 3 selling games in Japan include Mario Party DS at 1, Wii Fit at 2, and Wii Sports at 3.
