Nyko Turns Wii Nunchuk Wireless

January 30, 2008

Nyko announced today that they are getting ready to release a new Cord-Free wireless adapter for the Nintendo Wii Nunchuk in February for $19.99Boston (dbTechno) - Nyko announced today that they are getting ready to release a new Cord-Free wireless adapter for the Nintendo Wii Nunchuk in February for $19.99.

The way in which the device will work, is that it will have your Nunchuk sit in a glove of sorts that will house the Nunchuk.

Then on your regular Nintendo Wii Remote, a small dongle will be placed at the bottom and hooked into where the Nunchuk cord would originally go. This attachment acts as a receiver for all of the Nunchuk actions and movements.

“Nyko is dedicated to providing outstanding wireless solutions for Wii gamers,” said Chris Arbogast, Marketing Director at Nyko Technologies. “We want to provide multiple options for those looking to untangle their Wii experience.”
Nyko stated that the Nunchuk cords are organized inside the glove add-on so they will never be seen. On two AAA batteries, it is said to run for 60 straight gameplay hours.

The Wii Remote and Nunchuk will be able to work from up to 15 feet apart as well.

If you wanted a wireless Wii Nunchuk, this may be your best bet.
