Analyst States GTA IV Will Break Halo 3 Sales Record

Washington (dbTechno) - An analyst has stated that GTA IV on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will sell better than Halo 3 due to the content of the game, citing drunk driving and strip clubs.
Video game analyst Mike Hickey at Janco Partners believes that GTA IV will sell through five million copies in its first week of release alone.
He stated that this is likely going to break the $300 million Halo 3 managed to attain in its first week of sales.
The reason for this is due to the content nature of GTA IV, as well as the marketing campaign.
Hickey stated that the viral campaign Rockstar is currently using is much more effective than the Halo 3 campaign was.
He stated “I can almost guarantee they’ll probably outsell Halo 3 in the first year.”

umm. it won’t but if it does come close it’ll be because it is for both the xbox 360 and the ps3 and halo 3 is only for the xbox 360. I have halo 3 and ill probably get gta iv. One problem it might face is bad publicity due to its mature content, but thats what makes the game so appealing in the first place so who knows?
