He stated that the Xbox 360 version will “own” the launch of GTA IV.

Kim stated that the exclusive content coming to the Xbox 360 version is going to make it the ultimate experience for GTA IV.

He did state what many people already know, that it is going to be difficult for Microsoft to get gamers to realize that Grand Theft Auto is not just a PlayStation franchise anymore.

He wants them to know that the ultimate experience for Grand Theft Auto IV will be on the Xbox 360.

He stated in an interview with Wired.com that the “Xbox 360 is still going to have the ultimate experience for GTA IV.”

He stated that “the role of GTA III and what that played in terms of PS2’s development” was huge.

He stated gamers “will associate Grand Theft Auto as a PlayStation franchise. Which means that we have to work really hard to make people understand that no, it’s not, and that you’ll actually get a greater experience on Xbox 360.”

Pretty much shows how desperate they are now that they have no big exclusives left that they are making GTA4 their biggest game of the year to try and get sales lol.

Sony are more concerned with LittleBigPlanet. Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5 and all the others to worry about convincing people to buy GTA4 on their console while the biggest game of the year for Microsoft is a multiplatform one lol.

Free RRoD and costly disc scratching included?

  3. will.... i hate the xbox on February 8th, 2008 11:07 am

this man has no idea wat he is on about… both versions are the same…..rockstar even said the the ps3 version is awsome, and blu-ray is better than dvd which means the textures are better, the graphics are clearer, the sound is better… wat does the 360 have 2 extra episodes (which are not free)….. dont isten to microsoft, infact look it up in the dictionary and it’ll say: walk away, the devil (bill gates) can’t be trusted, he’s scamming you.

here are some examples of microsofts evil….

    the xbox 360,
    windows vista and vista products,
    false and biased information.

It’s not beyond imagination that the Xbox will have a more profitable launch than the PS3 version…can’t deny it, I mean units sold is definitely in favor of Xbox atm. But, I’m pretty sure Rockstar has already also stated that the games perform amazingly well on both consoles. So…not entirely sure what Mr Kim is claiming here. But hey, if he wants to push a faulty piece of machinery, by all means, go right ahead.

We always knew they would say anything to see the 360 even lie so here is another one for M$. I dont know if GTA will sell well outside of the US but if you have only 5 mil PS3 and 10 Mil Xbox’s then yes you will sell more on the Xbox. but if they like this in EU then Ps3 will take the lead.

    I agree those sh*tty PS3 are sh*t compared to the 360

  8. me on February 8th, 2008 1:48 pm

wow…couple this with the fact the 360 version will look and run better, it’s not looking good for the ps3. the GTA name, while not as big as it once was, is still a tour-de-force with the casual gamer. This is gonna move quite a few 360’s. It seems like just 2 years ago the ps3 fanboys claimed GTA4 would single handidly win the console wars for the ps3, when rockstar didn’t comment on the 360 version. Now? it’s a non-factor supposedly. sorry, will… bill gates had little to nothing to do with the xbox or the 360… look at J. Allard, Seamus Blackley, robbie bach, and Ed Fries if you want to point fingers.

i agree with Morne - sony proved with the ps2 that faulty hardware doesn’t matter to gamers.

For the learning impaired in this crowd… Mr. Kim made no claims about the 360 version “performing better”. He does specifically make the claim that, “exclusive content coming to the Xbox 360 version is going to make it the ultimate experience for GTA IV”.

Yes. There is exclusive content coming to the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV which Microsoft paid exorbitant sums to acquire. So, his claims of superiority have a basis in reality - regardless of your tiny brain’s inability to comprehend it.

One recommendation to you PS3 die-hards that feel compelled to reply to every Microsoft comment as though your very lives are threatened by their existence: Go outside and breathe some fresh air. Your mother’s basement has inadequate circulation and may result in permanent impairment.

Oh yeah. Then try to stay on the official PS3 sites so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities when people make statements that do not start with, “PS3 is the apex of achievement for all humanity…”

PS2 was not a fallty console and is infact very realable. It was more relable to even the xbox. The 360 is just a descrace to game console with a 33% failure rate. GTA 4 on both systems will be great. I personally believe the PS3 version will have better graphics and textures but i think xbox 360 will run smother. I do think you will be fine with what ever conosle you have and buy the game for. If u havew a 360 get GTA4 if u have PS3 get it too. BUt if u are buying a console now. The PS3 is the way to go with better games and a better hardware and console. I am man at mcrosoft for saying GTA will be better on 360 and are making a big deal out of it, it will be the same and the GTA after this will be a PLaystation exclusive. Microsoft have no more good games and are trying to steal multiplatform games.

I hope he’s proved right. People have VERY short memories when it comes to sony reliability. When the 2nd batch of ps2 came out in the uk the vast majority were faulty, including 3 that sony kindly sent me, the customer service was appalling and people could easily spend 2-3 days just trying to get through to them. The 3rd ps2 they sent me was just a bloody empty box for christ sakes!

microsoft will say just about anything to make sony look bad but really all there doing is just buying alot of playstation exclusives so they can sell more systems. becasuse they know sony has the better games. also GTA IV on xbox360 will be the same as the ps3 version but microsoft payed R* like a billion dollars just to get episodic content so they can say that there version is better and BTW Ps3 is getting episodic content to so both versions will be different

  14. Oboma on February 10th, 2008 4:50 pm

As for as the so call exclusive content for xbox it has been confirmed that PS3 owners will recieve exclusive content also……..Ps3 also has an exclusive R* title La Noire…. fuq Mircroshit!

blu ray does not insist better graphics in the slightest, blu ray is just more space, yet it is slower than the dvd in the xbox.

the xbox actually has a generation ahead graphics card so expect the graphics to be better on the xbox
