PS3 In-Game XMB Ready To Release, Home Coming Soon

Washington (dbTechno) - The highly-anticipated Home for the Sony PS3 is apparently getting very close to release, as reports are also coming out that the in-game XMB for the PS3 is complete, which will allow for in-game and cross-game chatting, as well as the ability to pull up music and messages whenever you desire.
According to the Official PlayStation Forums, the PSedge dev kit has received an update.
The poster stated that there have been many new updates including new things added specifically for Home. One of the new big updates is that games must now be able to integrate into Home, and also has to support “Accomplishments” which are Sony’s answer to Xbox Live Achievement Points on the Xbox 360.
It was also noted that the in-game XMB for the PS3 is about ready to go.
It was stated that every single game which is coming out now for the PS3 will support the in-game XMB, and all older releases will be updated via a patch.
PS3 fans can rejoice, it seems that Home is not far away, and the in-game XMB is about ready to release, get set for the next PS3 firmware update!

Well at least it looks like sony are keeping to the spring 08 release timescale , i bet we are likely to see it probably within the next 2 or 3 weeks or maybe sooner. i am not sure about it being in a firmware update it could have a new xmb icon but like folding at home have to be downloaded for it to work, but i maybe wrong. ethier way i just want to throw a tv around and play that old atari choplifter style game.

yes but the quality is going to be the bad point about the in game xmb I explain what I mean. If you bring up the custom soundtracks support from stardust HD your choosing to be playing music during the game but the problem is can you hear it an another bad point is it could cause problems for its free online internet it could freeze the game and damage the machine normally if ou use your PC and you give it too many commands that’s what happens. PS3 is a very delicate system. Home I am really going to enjoy but the in game xmb is going to be good as well but yeah I would love to play games with devil driver shouting at the background they are heavy if you know how excellent their music is. I still can’t do PS3 games doesn’t anyone realise how difficult they are now.
