PS3, Home Not Affected By Harrison’s Resignation
February 26, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Many gamers were fearful that the PS3, as well as the PlayStation Home service, would take a hit due to the resignation of the head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Phil Harrison. Sony has reponded though stating that Home is still on track to release soon.
A Sony Computer Entertainment America spokesperson came out and talked about the impact that Harrison’s departure would have on PlayStation Home.
The spokesperson stated “It’s business as usual for Home. The projects that Phil has been working on including Home are still on track and are still sticking to their current schedules. Each title and project is supported by a wide variety of people behind the scenes to ensure the highest quality and execution.”
Sony has stated that the Home service is still on track as we all expect it to release very soon.
There is no official launch date for PlayStation Home, as it was originally supposed to release last fall.
It is now believed that Home will launch in Spring 2008.
