Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 Head For Holiday War

Boston (dbTechno) - If hype plays any factor in it at all, it appears that Gears of War 2 is shaping up to top the PS3 exclusive, Resistance 2, this holiday season. A voice actor who plays Marcus Fenix in Gears of War 2 has come out and touted the improvements over the original on the Xbox 360.
He spoke to IGN, stating that the game is “cool as sh—.”
He stated that “The storylines are really cool and the relationships of the guys in the game, the sequences that explain things that are going on, they’re a lot deeper.”
He stated that there are bigger beasts in this game, and also spoke about a beast named Brumak.
Production is clearly picking up as he stated “There’s new weapons, new beasts, they’re a couple of new characters, and it’s just badass.”
Gears of War 2 was announced by Microsoft and Epic a few weeks ago as an exclusive release for the Xbox 360 this holiday season, with a likely release date being set for this November.
This came after Sony confirmed that Resistance 2 is also releasing on the Sony PS3 this fall.
The two FPS will be going head to head at retail, with only one group truly winning out, gamers!

Both Games aren’t FPS. Gears is a somewhat tactical third person shooter where you can enter and exit cover, blind fire around corners, etc. where Resistance is a run and gun first person shooter that is as much about story as it is about innovative weapons. Both games should be great but I doubt they’ll actually have much of any effect on each other.
Like the guy said, not both FPS games. They are very different games lumped into the “shooter” category. For instance i love resistance but couldn’t care less about gears, I’m sure others are the complete oposite. Its a matter of preference
i think gears of war 2 will kick resistance 2’s ass as gears of war is 10 times better than resistance fall of man they will both be good games but i think gears of war 2 will win this battle and its a third person shooter which is better than 1st person shooters it also has wicked visual effects.

Resistance 2 will kick Gears of War 2 ass it will have 60 player online and 8 co-op on Blu-ray Disc not old DVD from the 90s. Insomniac Games can make better stories Epic Games can’t seem to make good worth playing story Gears of War is overhyped.

Ivan, your dvd 90’s vs. blue ray rant shows you are a complete idiot. You buy these systems to GAME as your main reason, not watch movies all day long. Do some research, if you know what that means. The first Resistance had to use the space of the blue ray disk because if they didn’t duplicate gigs, and gigs of data, the load times on the blue ray would make you break the system. You Ivan are the same as the millions of idiots that believe every lie sony has every told them. I bet you play your PS3 on two hdtv’s at once with 8 controllers, in 1080P don’t you?! Lie, Lie, Lie.
