Spitzer, A Critic of Sex, Violence in Games, Caught In Prostitution Ring

New York (dbTechno) - The New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has always been vocal about speaking out against violent and sexual video games. He is well-known for stating that the video game industry features excessive violence, sexual content, etc, targeting games such as the GTA series. Well yesterday he was forced to come out and apologize about being involved in a prostitution ring.

Spitzer even stated at one point that in games such as GTA, children can simulate having sex with a prostitute. Well it seems may have been better off in the simulation world himself.

It is expected that Spitzer is going to be forced to step down as the governor of New York following this revelation which came about yesterday.

He came out to make an apology to the people of New York, as well as his family. He never once specifically mentioned the prostitution ring though.

He stated during his apology He stated “Over the past nine years, eight as attorney general and one as governor, I’ve tried to uphold the vision of progressive politics that would rebuild New York and create opportunities for all. We tried to bring real change to New York and that will continue.”

“Today, I want to briefly address a private matter. I have acted in a way that violated the obligations to my family and that violates my or any sense of right and wrong. I apologize first, most importantly, to my family. I apologize to the public, whom I promised better. I do not believe that politics in the long run is about individuals. It is about ideas, the public good and doing what is best for the State of New York. But I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard that I expect of myself. I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family.I will not be taking questions. Thank you very much. I will report back to you in short order. Thank you very much.”

It is expected that Spitzer will step down as early as today.
