Rockstar Working On New Max Payne For Xbox 360, PS3

Washington (dbTechno) - Sources are stating that Rockstar is currently working on a new Max Payne for release in 2009 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. This would likely launch alongside with the launch of the movie, which stars Mark Walhberg.
Take-Two had a conference call to investors yesterday, stating that once Rockstar finishes up on GTA IV, they are moving on to release a sequel to another big franchise for release in 2009.
Many have been speculating what exactly this sequel could be, with ideas pointing towards a new Bully, Manhunt, or something else.
It appears that the new franchise entry they are talking about will be a new Max Payne game.
Max Payne gained a lot of attention as a franchise, releasing originally on the PC and then on the PS2 and Xbox.
The game is already being made into a huge Hollywood movie, starring Mark Wahlberg, which will also release in 2009.
It appears that Rockstar is getting a new entry into the Max Payne series ready to coincide with the release of the movie, even though it will likely have a different story.

Ivan you’re a very sad delusional fanboy.
It’s all well and good but there are a few things to consider:
- Remedy is not developing the game
- The storyline finished with MP2, anything extra will just be a move to “milk the cash cow”
Good luck to them, but my expectations are pretty low.
That is gonna fail big time.

I would like to see another max payne game. Something good and exciting on the ps3 would be worth looking into. I just hope they don’t screw it up and stay true to the essence that is max payne. XBOX 360 can’t play the dominant form of HD dvd’s. PS3 is the console of the future. (at least I hope so because i just unloaded a buttload of cash to get one)

i dont get it why ppl are flaming ps3,just because they cant afford it doesnt mean it sucks.
anyway to the point,Max Payne 2 wasn’t near the end of it.i completed it couple years ago and the way it ended gave me the impression that there was more to it. fanboyz who recently found out about max payne stop being so cocky rly ~_~
Moreover i believe Rockstar will create a kick ass game with both in depth story and gameplay.
The ps3 sucks because it has no games except for MGS4 and LBP. The average gamer(with friends) won’t really care that much about blu-ray and the POSSIBILITY of ps3’s graphics enough to buy one. The 360 is a gamer’s console, the ps3 is basically a mini entertainment system.
Playstation blows
Well hopfully this game will come out for PC sometime in the next few years I will wait till then. I have owned a PS3 and XBOX360 and thay both suck I have a 1080p 42 inch lcd and even thoe thay both say thay can push 1080p most games are just upscaled from 720p to 1080p and its done very sloppy I get jaggys. You get what you pay for PC is the way to go if you want ture top end HD gameing .
man.. rockstar sucks and is gunna ruin max payne
i think this game will be more fun to play on pc i played the first max payne and the second and i liked more on pc…
Hmmm, I personally think that the xbox 360 and ps3 are both extremely awesome and great gaming consoles… by extremely profitable and respected companies…
Oh and fear not about the ps3 game library for you tiny minded ppl… a few more years and there will be enough games on that platform to satisfy anybodies expectations lets be real, when 360 came out the library was small… I agree with QQ on this one those of you badmouthing the ps3 obviously do not own one…
they are awesome especially if you own a psp. you can link up with your ps3 from far and wide and get stats and listen to cds that are in the tray, and so many other fantastic things that, im sorry but xbox just cant compete with, but that does not take anything away from the gaming experience you get with the 360.
anyway ive said enough, grow up stop hatin, get a job and get both you wont regret it… i dont.
