Hollywood Working On Original Content For Xbox Live

Boston (dbTechno) - Hollywood movie producer and talent agent Peter Safran has signed a deal with Microsoft to bring original content to the Xbox Live Marketplace. This content will be in the form of original shows and will be sold over the Xbox 360 online service.
Peter Safran is the CEO of Safran Digital, responsible most recently for the production of Meet the Sparts and other big name films.
The shows are expected to be fully-scripted television programs. They will be aimed at the core Xbox demographic, 18-34 year-olds.
The shows will be in the genres of comedy, horror, or science fiction.
Microsoft has stated that this will be the first of many deals to be coming down the pipeline.
The shows will be ten-minutes in length. There will be six shows which will run this summer, with more coming in the fall.
There was no word on pricing or anything of that nature.
