In the minds of many gamers who lined the streets for the midnight launch of the game overnight, GTA IV launch day is just as big as any other national holiday.

GTA IV has been hyped up more than any game in recent memory, and is expected to smash all sales records, easily becoming the fastest selling game of all time.

Many in the U.S. and UK were out and about at midnight last night, waiting at their favorite retail outlet for their chance to pick up Grand Theft Auto IV.

The game has received rave reviews from just about every single critic out there, with perfect scores from almost everybody.

Early reviews have called the game nothing short of a pure masterpiece.

The game is believed to break the opening week sales figured attained by the Microsoft Xbox 360 blockbuster, Halo 3, which took in $400 million.

The hype, along with the response from critics, is likely to give Take Two a great financial boost to say the least.

GTA IV is expected to sell six million copies in week one alone, and should only rise from there.

With that said, it is clear that many gamers will be calling in sick today, to stay home and enjoy their own national holiday. It is finally GTA IV day, now go have fun.
