Rockstar Fixes GTA IV Online Problems With Patch
May 8, 2008
New York (dbTechno) - Rockstar has announced that they have released a new patch for the Sony PS3 version of GTA IV. The patch will address the problems reported with the online portion of the game, which has caused GTA IV to lock up on many occasions.
The patch comes in as an 18MB download and should clear just about all of the online problems up with the PS3 version of the game.
The new patch prevents the Gamespy servers from being overloaded, which in turn will help by preventing the game from locking up or becoming jittery.
Rockstar has been working hard since launch day to try and get this patched up as quickly as possible as it only affected the PS3 version of the game.
They have since apologized for the problems and hope that this clears everything up for now.

Patch didn’t work for me. The game still freezes after 2-5 minutes of play. Incredible, that neither Sony of Rockstar are adressing this problem to a higher extend.
